I should really learn the names of flowers…
Today I finally managed to make it outside as it wasn’t raining, to try out my new lens! Only to find that our garden pretty much consisted of Forget Me Not’s alone. However, I did manage to find these pretty little flowers…

Monyash village, Derbyshire
On the spring ride out into Derbyshire we stopped off in a little village called Monyash.  They have beautiful little houses like this and a little Pub called ‘The Bulls Head’ with an adjoining Cafe surrounding a cute little daffodil filled village green.

St. Marys Church, Tissington, Derbyshire
On Sunday I had a lovely afternoon out on the bike with my Dad. We went all up into the Derbyshire countryside and ended up in the beautiful village of Tissington. I love all the ivy crawling up the trees.
It really was a gorgeous spring afternoon and it is definitely worth a visit, especially if you like a nice cream tea….

Spring is blossoming…

So for the past sunny week I’ve been stuck inside staring at the computer at pictures of flies doing my dissertation. To ease the monotony I’ve been giving myself little camera breaks to enjoy the weather and try and get used to my new camera. It’s proving rather difficult, there’s so many things to play around with, but it’s definitely helping with motivation for work!
